Zest Wins Sheffield Business Award |
We are celebrating winning the Community Investment Award 2013 at the Sheffield Business Awards on December 5th.
The award recognises a voluntary or third sector partnership which has made the most notable improvementto the quality of life of their local community through new and innovative ways to promote giving,encouraging business engagement and using volunteer and financial resources. Janet Skirrow, chief executive of Zest, said: “We are absolutely thrilled and delighted to have won this prestigious award. We are exceptionally proud of the work we do at Zest and to have been recognised by the Sheffield businesscommunity is a real honour. “At Zest, we are committed to providing services which improve the health and fitness of local people and nurturingcommunities where everyone can get involved. “We are very much a team and this award is for every member of staff, trustee and volunteer who work tirelessly tomake a difference to the local community and every single one of our customers who use our facilities. “We would like to thank the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and the judging panel for voting for us. We were in a very strong category of nominees and to have won against such excellent competition makes the win even more special. “The award is a real highlight for us this year and we are all elated.”
