Ruth Womack
Ruth has been a Friend of Zest since 2011 and was at the forefront of the battle to keep the library, being amongst the first to volunteer.
She has been in the area for 22 years and is well-known by people in the local community, she’s well connected and aware of what goes on and how things affect the area.
“I am passionate about Zest and the library and how it affects the community. I would like to see the community get more involved, I think it is a really unique place.
“I am keen on getting the message out to the community, especially new people who are moving into the area. I want them to learn more about Zest and what we have on offer.”
Ruth is keen to keep up to date with how Zest operates and is interested in policies and how funding is applied for and its impact on Zest’s ongoing and future plans.
Ruth used to run a book group at Zest, before Covid and is looking at setting up a reading group for people in the community, “it was great fun and I’d like to set something up like that again”.
