Cost of Living Advice and Support
We know that the cost of living crisis is putting a lot of stress on our communities and we are here to listen, to connect and to share the local and city wide support that is on offer.
At Zest, we offer a warm welcome to all. We have free-to-access facilities including computers and Wi-Fi, the library and low cost Foodworks café. There is a Cost of Living specific information point, (on the way to the café) with advice and contacts on a range of areas, from fuel and energy, to food, benefits and work. We have period poverty products for anyone to take just next to the café and in our facilities. Zest has many free social groups running through our This Community Can, Health and Work teams, to connect with people and learn new skills.
There are two pathways to access free advice about anything cost of living related, from Citizen’s Advice Sheffield (on our online portal here at Zest) or Langsett Advice (in person at Zest). Please see here for more information including self referrals.
We know that this stress can also have an impact on our physical and mental health too. We hold a Wellbeing Drop In every two weeks with staff on hand to help with directing you to appropriate cost of living support, health checks and referrals. Please contact zoe.kinross@zestcommunity.co.uk for more information,
