Dementia Friendly Services at Zest
A dementia-friendly community is where cities, towns, villages and local businesses and organisations support people to live well with dementia, helping them remain independent for longer.
Zest is part of a city-wide network of community organisations working to help local people to improve their health and wellbeing. Within this we have a particular focus on supporting people with Dementia to enjoy activities at Zest and in the wider community, which are tailored to their needs.
We are committed to making the Centre and surrounding areas* Dementia Friendly. If you would like a chat about how to make your local community group or organisation Dementia Friendly, please get in touch with our Dementia Services Coordinator, Trish – 07543 796 782 or 0114 2702040 / health@zestcommunity.co.uk
Our team can help provide advice and signpost you to information and other activities and services. We are not medical experts or counsellors, but we will do our best to help you. If we can’t answer your question, we can put you in touch with someone who can.
*Our dementia services cover people in the following areas:
Hillsborough, Middlewood, Wadsley, Loxley, Stannington, Wisewood Netherthorpe, Upperthorpe, Walkley, Langsett, Crookesmoor
